Ain't Misbehavin'
The "Fats" Waller Musical Show
A Swingin' Musical
conceived by Richard Maltby, Jr. and Murray Horwitz
April 15 – May 13, 2012
This joint is jumpin'.
Harlem. The Cotton Club. Honky tonk dives, rent parties and sweet, sweet swing. The songs of “Fats” Waller explode in this celebration of some of the best American music ever written. A Broadway blockbuster brimming with hot jazz and powerhouse performances, this Tony Award®-winning revue is the perfect tribute to one of the most prolific musicians of the 20th century. Filled with 30 beloved tunes like “‘T Ain’t Nobody’s Bizness If I Do”, “Honeysuckle Rose”, “Mean To Me” and “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love”, it’s musical dynamite that will have you tappin’ your toes, snappin’ your fingers and singin’ along.
Presented in collaboration with North Carolina A&T State University’s Jazz Ensemble.
"Part musical documentary, part Harlem dream world, this is a Triad Stage show one shouldn't—and ought not—miss!"
