Elisabeth Ritson* (Hannah Jelkes) was last seen holding down the trailer as Ada in Triad Stage’s production of Tobacco Road, before that she originated the roles of Grin Dell’s Maw and Hessie Geeter in the world premiere of Brother Wolf at Triad Stage. Other Triad Stage productions include running Grace’s diner in Bus Stop, Lizzie in The Rainmaker and Mrs. Webb in Our Town. Regional work includes Vivian in Wit, Maureen in Beauty Queen of Leenane, Li'l Bit in How I Learned to Drive, and Emma in Betrayal. Beth holds a BFA and an MFA in acting and is currently a professor at Bennett College for Women in their Theatre Department. |

Lorraine Shackelford* (Frau Fahrenkopf) is making her debut at Triad Stage. A member of the Performance Faculty and Director of Theatre Education in UNCG’s Department of Theatre, last spring she played Grandma in UNCG’s Jersey Shore House, a new play written by Michael Ferrell, a former student. Other favorite performances include Nunsense (with Pat Carroll) at East Carolina Summer Playhouse and Children of a Lesser God at Worchester Foothills Theatre. Lorraine has an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. |

Preston Lane (Artistic Director/Co-Founder & Director) is in his 8th season at Triad Stage, having directed over 29 productions including: the Grand Opening production Suddenly Last Summer, the award-winning Hedda Gabler and A Streetcar Named Desire, 2007’s acclaimed Tobacco Road (Wall Street Journal: Best of 2007 Theatre). He is also the Artistic Partner for Theatre for An Appalachian Summer Festival. He was formerly Artistic Associate at the Dallas Theater Center, where his productions included the US premiere of Inexpressible Island (Dallas Observer Best of Dallas Awards: Best Director, Best Production) and The Night of the Iguana (Dallas Morning News:2002 Top Ten Theatre List). Other productions include: A Tuff Shuffle (National Black Theatre Festival), Overruled (Off Broadway), Love! Valour! Compassion! (Stage One), and the world premieres of If Only and Get It While You Can (Summer Cabaret). As a playwright, his adaptations and original works include: Hedda Gabler, Dracula, Mirandolina, and Julie’s Dance (Triad Stage); A Christmas Carol (Dallas Theater Center, Sonoma County Rep, Kids Who Care), Three Weeks After Marriage and Helen! (Summer Cabaret) and with Laurelyn Dossett: Brother Wolf (Triad Stage, An Appalachian Summer Festival, Upcoming: The Human Race Theatre Company), Beautiful Star (Triad Stage, Upcoming: WaterTower Theatre) and Bloody Blackbeard. He has taught at UNCG, NC A&T, NCSA, Greensboro College, SMU, and the Professional Actors Workshop at the Dallas Theater Center. He is an alumnus of the Drama League of New York’s Director’s Project. A native of Boone, NC, Preston received his MFA from the Yale School of Drama. |

Jim Wren (Resident Fight Director) has staged the violence for many Triad Stage productions including the fantastical fights in Brother Wolf, the behavior of the Lesters in Tobacco Road and most recently the battles of Bloody Blackbeard. He has choreographed violence for the Hippodrome State Theatre, Roanoke Valley Opera and The University of Florida. Education: MFA, University of Florida. Jim is Performance Program Coordinator for the UNCG Department of Theatre, and is a two-time recipient of the Kennedy Center Gold Medallion for Excellence. |

Christine Morris (Resident Voice/Dialect Coach) recently appeared as Sister Aloysius in the Triad Stage remount of Doubt at An Appalachian Summer Festival in Boone, and both coached and performed in Bloody Blackbeard last season. She is on the theatre faculty at UNCG, and is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, Screen Actors’ Guild, and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), also serving on the VASTA board of directors. |
