A Winter Concert
December 6, 2011
8:00 pm
with Laurelyn Dossett, Rhiannon Giddens, Mike Compton, Joe Newberry and Jason Sypher
and featuring the music of The Gathering and Beautiful Star
Christmas music with roots.
Come enjoy the music of the holidays with Laurelyn Dossett (Polecat Creek) and fellow musicians Rhiannon Giddens (The Carolina Chocolate Drops), Mike Compton, Joe Newberry and Jason Sypher. It all begins with The Gathering, a new song cycle that focuses on a cold, dark, North Carolina winter night and a prodigal daughter's return. Then take a journey back to one of the greatest hits in Triad Stage's history with the songs of Beautiful Star: An Appalachian Nativity. It's an evening filled with the best Christmas music Appalachia and the Piedmont have to offer.
Learn more about the creation and development of The Gathering.
A Winter Concert is presented as a special event. Triad Stage gift passes and discounts to not apply.
