Four prep school boys are captivated by a forbidden copy of Romeo & Juliet. The sweeping language in the tragic story of star-crossed lovers frees the students from the prison of their governed existence. As fun play acting deepens into something more serious, the lives of Shakespeare’s characters begin to parallel those of the readers as they explore the universal truths of repression, fear, hatred, love, lust and sexuality.
